The professional life of Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs has been characterised by shattering the glass ceiling and breaking moulds created by social conventions.
She is the Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MoniPulo Limited. A dynamic and visionary player in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry, MoniPulo Limited has the distinction of being a fully indigenous upstream player, with four concessions that are in various stages of development.
An Information Technology professional, Seinye started her professional life in the financial services industry as a pioneer staff of the Computer Services department of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She later worked in Oceanic Bank Plc, where she became the Head of Administration. Her other responsibilities at Oceanic Bank included branch establishment and heading the Credit and Marketing portfolio.
Apart from steering the affairs of MoniPulo Limited, Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs, an astute and multi faceted entrepreneur, is also the Managing Director of the reputable Rachael Hotels Limited and Soliyama Limited (an asset leasing company). She established La Sien Bottling Company, producers of La Sien table water, in Port Harcourt and she is the Chairman of the wave making Asia Town Restaurant, among other business concerns.
She is also the Executive Director of the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation, an award winning not for profit organization which has for over a decade being committed to providing quality humanitarian services, capacity building trainings and assisting the elderly, the infirm and needy who dwell mainly in the rural areas of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
Empower initiatives such as the recently inaugurated Opuda Empowerment Scheme (OPUDEMS), serve as hallmarks of the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation’ impact in Nigeria. The foundation’s constant empowerment schemes have included so far empowerment scheme of 61 women with various items such as Deep Freezer, Hair dryers, Carpentry Tools, Plumbing Tools, Electrical Tools and Start-up funds, etc to boost their business in 2014/2015; William West Ladies of Buguma in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria rigorous entrepreneurial training and loan grants to kick start their business in 2010; Briggs Ladies of Abonnema in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria in 2007/2008; 21 members ofAboirima-a Youths of Abonnema employability training for different skills; Rachael Ladies of Port Harcourt cooperative interest free loan to grow their business in 2010/2011; 17 youths from Oruwari Briggs House of Abonnema in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State different skill acquisition training programs.
On the strength of the work she has done through the Foundation, Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs hasaddressed national and regional gathering on social welfare and entrepreneurship, including the Regional Conference of the International Federation of Women Lawyers-FIDA-held in Cameroun, the recently held March 2015 Nigerian Oil and Gas CWC conference &exhibition. The Foundation is also sponsoring a Bill supporting the Rights of the Elderly and Infirm in the Rivers State House of Assembly. She is highly recognised as a sought after speaker at national and regional conferences on social welfare, entrepreneurship and pressing national issues like utilities and infrastructure provision.
A servant of God Almighty with a passion for teaching the undiluted word of God and extending love to her fellow man, Seinye serves on the board of many reputable companies. She is happily married to High Chief (Dr.) O.B. Lulu-Briggs, OON-himself a national icon- and they are blessed with a loving and nurturing family.
