Where Women's Leadership
Converts to Influence, Leverage & Legacy

CELD exists to move women through the complete VIALL pathway — from visibility to legacy.

Shaping a Future Where Women Lead

We are the foremost social impact enterprise positioning women and girls at the forefront of transformational leadership and innovation across sectors.

Our Vision

To be the foremost social impact enterprise shaping a future where women and girls are at the forefront of transformational leadership and innovation across sectors.

Our Mission

To advance women's empowerment and influence globally through storytelling, role modelling, high-impact convenings, strategic networks, and evidence-based research.

✦ Why CELD Uses the VIALL Pathway

CELD's work is designed to ensure women do not remain visible without power, influential without authority, or impactful without continuity. The VIALL Pathway provides a disciplined, end-to-end model for converting women's leadership into sustained societal transformation.

The VIALL™ Pathway: From Visibility to Legacy

The VIALL Pathway describes how women's leadership is deliberately moved from recognition to authority, and from authority to enduring impact.
VISIBILITYVisibility creates legitimacy; legitimacy enables influence
Visibility is the starting point because leadership cannot operate in obscurity. Through credible platforms, convenings, media, and recognition, women's voices and work are positioned in spaces that confer legitimacy...
INFLUENCEInfluence builds credibility; credibility enables agency
Influence alone does not guarantee action. However, sustained influence establishes credibility — the recognition that a woman's voice carries weight, insight, and consequence...
AGENCYAgency enables action; action creates leverage
Agency is the turning point where leadership becomes operational. Once women possess the authority and autonomy to act, they can begin to deploy resources, relationships, and positioning strategically...
LEVERAGELeverage produces results; results create legacy
Leverage delivers outcomes, but outcomes alone are not legacy. Through leverage, women are able to institutionalise change — establishing frameworks, organisations, policies...
LEGACYLegacy is formed when outcomes are embedded into systems that endure
Legacy is formed when outcomes are embedded into systems that endure beyond individual involvement. CELD's work ensures women do not remain visible without power, influential without authority, or impactful without continuity.

Our Strategic Pillars: Translating Experience Into Power

Storytelling
We transform how women's leadership is framed globally through original narratives, films, editorials...
Impact Question: What worldview shifted because this story existed?
High-Impact Convenings
Our global platforms transform visibility into influence by positioning women leaders in agenda-setting roles...
Impact Question: Who left the room with new power, access, or authority?
Evidence-Based Research
We anchor our work in rigorous, actionable research grounded in women's lived experiences...
Impact Question: What decision changed because this evidence existed?
Strategic Networks
Through the Global Power Women Network, we create durable pathways for collaboration, mentorship, and scale...
Impact Question: Whose influence expanded because CELD connected them?

Message from the ED

Across the world, women are increasingly visible in leadership spaces. Yet visibility alone does not translate into decision-making authority, institutional influence, or enduring legacy.

CELD exists to close that gap.

As Executive Director, I lead an organization built on a disciplined framework: the VIALL Pathway. We move women deliberately through Visibility → Influence → Agency → Leverage → Legacy, ensuring leadership does not stall at recognition but advances to real power — the power to shape policy, mobilize capital, and build institutions that endure.

Our work sits at the intersection of storytelling, evidence-based research, high-impact convenings, and strategic networks. We operate in systems — policy, finance, media, and governance — where we don’t just create space for women’s voices, but position women to design outcomes, broker partnerships, and institutionalize change.

This is not performative empowerment. It is conversion work.

We collaborate with governments, DFIs, multilateral organizations, and private-sector leaders who recognize that advancing women’s leadership is not charity — it is strategy. It strengthens economies, stabilizes governance, and unlocks innovation.

Whether you engage with CELD as a partner, participant, policymaker, or ally, you are contributing to a movement that refuses to accept visibility as the ceiling. Together, we are ensuring women’s leadership is structurally embedded, economically consequential, and built to last.

With purpose,

Dr Mrs Ibifuro Ken-Giami

Executive Director

Centre for Economic and Leadership Development (CELD)
