Dr. Kakul Agha is an Assistant Professor at the Skyline University College, Sharjah, UAE where she teaches Human Resource Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Cross Cultural Communication and Business Ethics. She has also served as Chair of Teaching Effectiveness and Mentor for Skyline Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club since 2014.
She has a PhD in Business Administration, India (2013), a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Professional Practice, UK (2010), Masters in Public and Personnel Management, India (2003), and Masters in Business Administration in Human Resource Management, India (1998). She is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK (2010).
Prior to her position as Assistant Professor at the Skyline University, Sharjah, UAE, Dr. Kakul Agha served as Lecturer, Northern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management, India (1998 –1999), Lecturer, Muscat College, Sultanate of Oman (2000 – 2003), visiting Consultant, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman (2003 – 2004), Dissertation Coordinator, MBA(IT) Program (2009 – 2014), Associate Editor, The Dhow (College Newsletter)2010 – 2014, Program Manager, MBA(IT) Program (2010 – 2014), Head of Department of Postgraduate Studies, ‘Department of Management’ (2010 – 2014), Representative of MEC in Oman Quality Network in Higher Education (2011 – 2014), Assistant Professor, Middle East College, Sultanate of Oman (2004 – 2014).
Dr. Agha also has a vast experience in Development and deployment of the Master’s Program (2006 – 2007), Design and development of BIS Program with Dublin Institute of Technology (2011-2012), as well as Development of the UG Program with University of Wolver Hampton, UK (2013).
She has a number of published academic materials and has attended numerous international conferences where she presented academic papers.
Dr. Kakul Agha has also served on the Editorial Review Board of International Journals like Amity Journal of Management Research, Journal of Management Education, Journal of Teaching and Teacher Education, International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Exclusive Management Research, to name a few.
As part of the education industry, she values innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in creating awareness and knowledge sets to enhance the level of society. She is also working on generating an awareness of work-life balance among professionals. She aspires to connect with women and support their initiatives.
She spends her time being a Toastmaster, volunteering for social activities, mentoring and developing skill sets for students, and so on.
