Background of the Event
The InternationalConference on Security & Law Enforcement In Africa (ICSLEA), is a security industry event, designed to address the increasing spate of global conflict and array of threats confronting African Nations in recent times, which has continued to beckon on new approaches and a pooling of ideas to enable the security industry re-shape and organize a more comprehensive and conclusive front.
Conflict in Africa
Besides the deep-rooted challenges of violent crimes ranging from communal clashes, kidnapping, political violence, armed robbery and other aspects of criminal threats, Africa is unimaginably, falling systematically into the full grip of global terrorism and a sophisticated criminal network. The ability to meet the needs of the present without anticipating the ever-changing challenges of the future is a global issue with obvious consequences. Adherence, on one hand, leads to a nation’s competitive positioning and success in combating crime at its conception level, while neglect, on the other hand, may threaten a nation’s very existence.
Peace and sustainable security can never be achieved in isolation. To this end, the urgent needs for leading international security professionals to meet, discuss, learn and espouse innovative and sustainable approach for the protection of lives, properties and sovereignty of one of the world’s fastest developing regions has become a compelling necessity.
